Dark Knight Rises Rated PG-13
For Violence and ‘Some Sensuality’

It seems like it’s been ages since fans got any juicy new Dark Knight Rises news, doesn’t it? Well, today there’s news, but it’s not super-revelatory. According to Collider, the final film in director Christopher Nolan’s trilogy earned a PG-13 rating, just like Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises. The rating was officially given for “intense sequences of violence and action, some sensuality and language.”

The film stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Tom Hardy as Bane, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake, Michael Caine as Alfred, Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox and now, apparently, Liam Neeson as Ra’s a Ghul. The Dark Knight Rises opens on July 20.

Given one of the reasons for the PG-13 I think I understand why they went with the title that they did.
