Comic-Con Trailers: The Best of the Best, Ranked
Sometimes it’s difficult to figure out what’s been officially announced and what’s still a rumor when it comes to covering Hollywood. Many of us assumed that Russell Crowe was already a lock for the titular role in Darren Aronofsky’s Noah, the upcoming Biblical epic from Paramount Pictures and New Regency. It turns out the deal hadn’t been finalized until recently, as Deadline reports.
The website carries a press release confirming all of the details, including the previously announced March 28, 2014, opening date, and a log line: “Noah is a close adaptation of the Biblical story of Noah’s Ark. In a world ravaged by human sin, Noah is given a divine mission: to build an Ark to save creation from the coming flood.”
Written by Aronofsky and Ari Handel and revised by Gladiator screenwriter John Logan, Noah begins filming in July in Iceland and New York.
