Vaughan & Chiang's "Paper Girls" Builds a Familiar Yet Disconcerting World
Oscar nominee James Cromwell will round out the central cast of FX’s American Horror Story, Deadline reports. He’s set to play Dr. Arden, who works at the mental institution that serves as the setting for the second season of the hit show. He’ll go head to head with returning star Jessica Lange, who portrays his boss.
Cromwell joins recent additions Chloe Sevigny, Adam Levine and Lizzie Brocheré, as well as returning cast members Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Lily Rabe who, like Lange, appear in new roles.
Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk (Glee, Nip/Tuck), the “psychosexual thriller” premiered in October to network-high ratings, and ended its first season tied with TNT’s Falling Skies as the biggest new series on cable television.
