Soule Finds a Weakness in the Afterlife, Discusses Surprise "Inhuman" Return
James Frain, whose turn as the sociopathic vampire Franklin Mott was one of the highlights of True Blood‘s third season, has signed on for a recurring guest role on NBC’s fantasy police procedural Grimm.
According to Zap2It, he’ll play Eric Renard, the estranged brother of Capt. Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz) who comes to Portland after an evil creature arrives in town. He also may have some dastardly plans for Nick (David Giuntoli).
Frain, who appeared on the short-lived NBC series The Cape, has also recently guest-starred on Burn Notice and The Mentalist. Outside of True Blood, he’s probably best known for his portrayal of Thomas Cromwell on Showtime’s The Tudors.
Production is scheduled to begin this week on the second season of Grimm.
