Logan Lerman and Douglas Booth are set to star opposite Russell Crowe in Noah, the $100 million Biblical epic from director Darren Aronofsky, Deadline reports.
Lerman, who’ll next been seen in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, will play Noah’s son Ham, and Romeo and Juliet star Booth will play his son Shem. According to the website, Jennifer Connelly is among the actresses being considered to play Noah’s wife.
Greenlit in October by Paramount Pictures, the film was penned by Aronofsky and Ari Handel with a polish by Gladiator screenwriter John Logan.
“Since I was a kid, I have been moved and inspired by the story of Noah and his family’s journey,” Aronofsky said in a statement at the time. “The imaginations of countless generations have sparked to this epic story of faith. It’s my hope that I can present a window into Noah’s passion and perseverance for the silver screen.”
