Breaking Bad TV Spot Arrives: ‘The King Is Dead. All Hail the King.’

AMC has released the first teaser for the fifth and final season of Breaking Bad that plays up the shocking death of drug lord Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) in the Season 4 finale, and the move by Walter White (Bryan Cranston) to replace him. The (meth) king is dead; long live the king.

What’s more, GeekTyrant reports that creator Vince Gilligan and the cast have a treat in store for Comic-Con International attendees: Not only will there be a Breaking Bad panel at the convention, but there will be a special screening of the Season 5 premiere on Saturday, July 14, a day before it airs on television.

The 16-episode final season will be split in half, with the first eight kicking off July 15, and the remaining episodes airing in summer 2013.
