Rise of the Planet of the Apes Writers Touring Jurassic Park

Get ready for another dinosaur-laden adventure! Deadline reports that Universal Pictures has tapped husband and wife screenwriting partners Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver to pen a fourth Jurassic Park film. The pair joined forces to write last year’s hit Rise of the Planet of the Apes and will also take a crack at that film’s sequel.

Jurassic Park started life as a novel by Michael Crichton in 1990 and was soon turned into a film three years later by Steven Spielberg. Both were such hits that Crichton wrote a sequel called The Lost World that Spielberg also adapted. A third film came out in 2001 as well as a slew of collectibles, toys, video games, trading cards, amusement park rides and comic books.

Before the new film comes out, though, fans will get a chance to see the original film translated into 3D and released theatrically on July 19, 2013.

As a huge fan of Jurassic Park, I honestly want it to be left alone.

If it does have to be made, I really don’t want the people that wrote the massively overrated Rise of the Planet of the Apes..

But oh well. What will be, will be.

I would love to tour Jurassic Park, despite the risk of dinosaur carnage induced by a power outage .
