Robert Rodriguez’s Twitter followers not only got the news that Charlie Sheen will be playing the U.S. president in the director’s upcoming sequel Machete Kills, but also got a look at the actor and filmmaker together. Rodriguez also hinted that more casting news would be on the way soon.
Want more Machete Kills Twitter goodness? Do yourself a favor and follow Sofia Vergara. The actress plays what Collider described as, “the leather-clad Madame Desdemona, whose Mexican harlots have information that Machete needs.” Below you can see her getting a make-up touch up while below she’s filming a scene.
Machete Kills will act as the second film in a proposed trilogy starring the character played by Danny Trejo, and pits the hero against an arms dealer and a cartel leader who have joined forces to create a weapon capable of attacking from space. Recruited by the U.S. government, Machete — possibly along with some of his pals who survived the first film — must put a stop to these megalomaniacs. The film is scheduled for a 2013 release.
