Vaughan & Chiang's "Paper Girls" Builds a Familiar Yet Disconcerting World
The Muppets director James Bobin has signed on to adapt the espionage thriller Agent Zigzag for New Line and Playtone Productions, Variety reports.
Based on the 2007 book by Ben Macintyre, Agent Zigzag tells the true story of Eddie Chapman, a con man and philanderer who served as a double agent for the British Secret Service during World War II, serving as a spy for the Germans while secretly reporting back to his handlers at MI5. Mark Bomback adapted the novel, with Rowan Joffe providing the most recent rewrite.
It’s unclear whether Bobin, who’s already attached to direct and co-write The Muppets sequel for Disney, will tackle Agent Zigzag as his next project.
