Examining "Rebirth's" Treatment of Legacy & Promise of a Less "Grimdark" DC Universe
National Geographic Channel has released a slick extended promo spot for Comic Store Heroes, a one-hour special that follows the staff of Midtown Comics in Manhattan as they interact with their customers and plan their booth for New York Comic Con. Judging from the promo, Comic Store Heroes takes a more documentary approach to the subject matter than, say, AMC’s Comic Book Men, which is full-on reality show.
Comic Store Heroes airs Friday, July 13 — smack-dab in the middle of Comic-Con International — at 8 p.m. ET/PT on National Geographic.
Whether you’re into those magnificent, mighty, mutant heroes of Marvel’s X-Men, or the mischievous baby devil that wears diapers and carries a magical pitchfork in the classic “Hot Stuff The Little Devil” comic book series, Midtown Comics in New York City has what you need.
