Stellan Skarsgard Confirms
He’ll Return For Thor Sequel

Hearing that any actor appearing in a hit superhero movie will return for the follow-up isn’t much of a shock, as sequels are usually included in the original contract. So, when Stellan Skarsgard talked to Hey U Guys about his upcoming film King of Devil’s Island and explained that he would be coming back for Thor 2, it wasn’t super-surprising, but still good news. The actor didn’t say much about the project aside from the fact that it’s scheduled to shoot between August and December. Skarsgard played Dr. Erik Selvig, a scientist who helps god of thunder in Thor and then becomes Loki’s pawn in The Avengers.

Thor 2 had a bit of a difficult birth when director Patty Jenkins left the the project to be replaced by Game of Thrones director Alan Taylor, but has been moving along well since then. Saving Private Ryan writer Robert Rodat worked on the script. Stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins and Idris Elba are all set to reprise their roles, joined by Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale) as the unnamed villain.. The film opens Nov. 8, 2013.

Oh, such a long wait until Thor 2 comes out. I guess these Loki posters will have to tide me over until then:
