One of the hottest actors around, Michael Fassbender keeps landing more and more high-profile gigs. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the star of Prometheus and X-Men: First Class will not only headline but produce the adaptation of Ubisoft’s bestselling Assassin’s Creed.
The video game series premiered in 2007 and has continued to wow players with its mix of historical action and beautiful visuals. Fassbender will play Desmond Miles, a modern-day bartender who discovers he’s descended from a long line of assassins at odds with the Knights Templar.
Fassbender’s the first big name signed up for the Sony project. As of now, there’s no script or director, but Fassbender’s involvement will surely help move things along.
