RoboCop Viral Website Offers
First Peek at Remake’s Robots

Although shooting for Jose Padhila’s remake of Paul Verhoeven’s 1980s classic RoboCop doesn’t begin until September, that doesn’t mean we’ll have to wait to see bits and pieces from the sci-fi film. The just-launched OmniCorp.com viral site provides a few glimpses at new and old elements from the movie, which stars Joel Kinnaman as Alex Murphy, Samuel L. Jackson as a media mogul, Hugh Laurie as a higher up at OmniCorp and Gary Oldman as the scientist who builds Robo.
Head to the site and you’ll see a video that pops up showing off the familiar ED-209 as well as the all new XT-908 drone plane. You even get to see some intense close ups of the RC-2000 which we can only assume stands for RoboCop. The film is set for release Aug. 9, 2013.
