CCI: Comic-Con Poster Debuts For ‘Marvel One-Shot: Item 47′

To promote the Sept. 25 release of The Avengers on Blu-ray and DVD, Marvel has rolled out a Comic-Con International poster for “Marvel One-Shot: Item 47,” the third in a series of short films — “The Consultant” and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer” were the first two — that will be included as an extra feature.

As the studio revealed last week, “Item 47″stars Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Bradford as a down-on-their luck couple that comes across a Chitauri weapon left behind following the New York City battle with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and “proceed to make some incredibly bad decisions.” Maximiliano Hernández, who appeared as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent in Thor, “The Consultant” and The Avengers, is joined by Titus Welliver (Lost) on a mission to retrieve the weapon, dubbed “Item 47.”

Comic-Con attendees will have a chance to see an advance look at the short: All they have to do is download the free Avengers Second Screen app, which will provide a series of clues leading to a hunt Friday morning through San Diego, ending that evening with the screening.
