First Look at Marvel’s ‘Phase One’ Cinematic Universe Collection

MTV’s Splash Page has unveiled the first look at the package for “Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One — Avengers Assembled,” the much-teased 10-disc limited-edition Blu-ray collection arriving Sept. 25.

Retailing for $219, the collection includes all six Marvel Studios films to date – Iron Man (Blu-ray), The Incredible Hulk (Blu-ray), Iron Man 2 (Blu-ray), Thor (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray), Captain America: The First Avenger (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray) and The Avengers (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray) — plus the bonus “Phase One Archives.”

More details are expected to be revealed Sunday, presumably at Comic-Con International in San Diego.

    That aside, those disc sleeves are downright sexy. Love the sleek, minimalistic covers.

    So what does it cost? I can’t imagine anybody who makes enough money to justify this frivolous purchase. Love these movies though, and it looks cool.

    Ha! I was so dazzled by the picture I began reading after it. Still seems frivolous.

     They’ve raised their price a bit then.  Walmart did have it for somewhere in the $130-$140 range last time I checked.Mine is preordered and half paid for in DVD’s and Blu-ray’s I’ve traded in and the remaining balance will be paid the same way.  Can’t wait to pick it up.
