Johnny Depp Joins Wes Anderson
At The Grand Budapest Hotel
Plenty of directors have actors they work with over and over. Johnny Depp has been Tim Burton’s go-to guy for decades and Gore Verbinski’s for a handful of films now. But according to The Hollywood Reporter, Depp will be branching out and working with another director known for his unique visual style: Wes Anderson.
Anderson, whose Moonrise Kingdom is out now and performing well, plans to follow that project with his first film shot in Europe. Currently known as The Grand Budapest Hotel, the film’s plot hasn’t been revealed. We do, however, know that if Anderson gets his way, Depp will be joined by some familiar faces, as well as some new to the filmmaker’s stable: Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Anjelica Huston, Jude Law, Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Willem Dafoe and Adrien Brody.
