Will Jay Baruchel Join RoboCop?

Jose Padilha’s RoboCop remake is inching ever closer to shoring up its impressive cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jay Baruchel is in final talks with MGM for a role as Omnicorp’s marketing head.
Expect the part to have comedic elements, as that’s the genre Baruchel is best known for. He’s done everything from voice work in How to Train Your Dragon and starring in the R-rated romantic comedy She’s Out of My League.
If he does sign on for RoboCop, he’ll be joining a stellar cast that includes Joel Kinnaman, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, Abbie Cornish, Hugh Laurie and Jackie Earle Haley. The film is scheduled to begin shooting in Toronto this September.
