Chris Pine in Talks to Join "Wonder Woman" Film
According to TVLine, the former star of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has been cast as Jack Crawford, the agent-in-charge of the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit, a character previously portrayed on screen by Dennis Farina, Scott Glenn and Harvey Keitel.
Developed by Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller, the midseason drama explores the relationship between brilliant young psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter (played by Casino Royale‘s Mads Mikkelsen) and FBI profiler Will Graham (Confession of a Shopaholic‘s Hugh Dancy) as they solve crimes together. NBC has already committed to a 13-episode first-season order.
“Laurence Fishburne is an iconic man who has been making his cinematic mark since Apocalypse Now and it’s a thrill not only to work with him but to see such a brilliant, sophisticated actor step into the shoes of Thomas Harris’ brilliant, sophisticated character,” Fuller told TVLine. “I cannot imagine a better cast for Hannibal than the one we’ve assembled.”
The winner of four Emmy Awards, Fishburne played Dr. Raymond Langston for three seasons on the hit CBS crime drama CSI. He portrays Perry White in director Zack Snyder’s upcoming franchise reboot Man of Steel.
