The Walking Dead Assembles Cast For Season 3 Banner

After releasing a pair of Comic-Con posters last month, AMC kicks into full-on Season 3 mode with the debut of a new banner featuring the entire central cast of The Walking Dead.

In case you’re not entirely up to speed on who’s who in post-apocalyptic Georgia, that’s (from left) Sarah Wayne Callies as Lori Grimes, Chandler Riggs as Carl Grimes, Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon, Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier, IronE Singleton as T-Dog Douglas, Emily Kinney as Beth Greene, Scott Wilson as Hershel Greene, Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, Lauren Cohan as Maggie Greene, Steve Yeun as Glenn, David Morrissey as The Governor, Danai Gurira as Michonne and Laurie Holden as Andrea.

The Walking Dead returns for its 16-episode third season on Oct. 14.

Putting Carol and T-Dog waaaay in the background doesn’t mean anything, right?

Has anyone confirmed that there are prisoners in the prison when the characters get there? are they totally ditching that? one of the most compelling things about the prison was the clash between living with murderers versus living outside with zombies.

So I guess this means were not getting Axel…and again why can’t we just say T Dawg is Tyreese

    and give rick his hatchet!

  • Evan

Looks like somebody’s got jungle fever!

  • Elfap

exactly, just like their point on the show.

Matt, Tyreese ill be a soilder who is introduced this season.  His helicopter will crash.

because he isn’t forgot about the daughter??? and i believe t-dogg said his name in season 2 episode 2 and it wasn’t tyreese

  • Matt

I should have clarified, I knew t dawg wasn’t tyreese, what I meant was they should just absorb the character of tyreese into t dawg. Because essentially from a writers standpoint it wouldn’t be so hard to do that. And being T dawg is as interesting as a board of wood it would be nice that the character got fleshed out.

I can’t stand how sometimes these character banners are so telling of what will happen. I wouldn’t be surprised if michonne and andrea won’t meet up with the rest of the group until the final couple of episodes and glen/ maggie will be on the fence about moving into woodbury once they find out about it.

On a related question, did Lost create this type of character banner, wherein pose/ gesture and placement of character are telling of story elements for said season as well as importance? I don’t remember seeing these things prior to lost in this way. After Lost every show under the sun does these (flagrantly photoshopped together) things.

Governor is kind of cute, more so than in the comic.  Also are we to believe that T-Dog is Tyrese from the comic?  Hmmmmm…..
