First Look: Russell Crowe in Noah

USA Today has revealed the first look at Academy Award winner Russell Crowe as Noah in director Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming Biblical epic.

As the newspaper notes, Aronofsky has taken to Twitter to keep fans updated about the ambitious Old Testament adaptation, teasing countless photos from the film’s sets in Oyster Bay, New York, where they’ve constructed an ark, and Reykjavik, Iceland.

The film, which also stars Emma Watson, Jennifer Connelly, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth, Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, Kevin Durand, Martin Csokas, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Arnar Dan and Mark Margolis, opens March 28, 2014.

Oh God…does that mean that this Noah will be “edgy” and “moody” and “virile” and will curse as well? I dread the thought.

Interesting. I’ll need to see more before I think about seeing this.

Epic tale…Perfect casting! Russell Crowe saves mankind by building the ark and battling the bad guys! Can’t wait to see it!  :)

Give me a break from fanboy rants… just once.

For some reason Crowe has lost box-office draw while not losing any of his acting ability. Looking forward to this.

Crowe doesn`t whore himself out to brainless, big budget franchises so your comments about box office draw make no sense in that regard. In fact if you look over his resume he`s really only done less than a handful of mainstream big budget films the last one being Robin Hood which, in light of the fact it didn`t star kristin Stewart, or have hobbits, pulled in a respectable 320 million worldwide. His films are usually a modest budget and damn well done overall and have always made respectable box office.
He`s great actor and I`d prefer to see any of his films than 90% of the drivel out on our screens lately. He hasn`t lost any box office draw to fans of quality film.
