Entertainment Weekly Unveils Four Walking Dead Covers

Entertainment Weekly has unveiled the four covers for this week’s issue featuring some of the stars of AMC’s The Walking Dead: Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, Danai Gurira as Michonne (with her walkers in tow), David Morrissey as the Governor, and Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker as brothers Daryl and Merle Dixon.

The issue boasts a sneak peek at the third season, which finds Rick and the other refugees from the Greene farm hoping to transform the West Georgia Correctional Facility — aka the Prison — into a safe haven, only to discover the greatest threat may not come from the zombies but rather from the nearby town of Woodbury.

“This season really is about setting up these two worlds and watching them come to a head and collide,” executive producer Robert Kirkman tells the magazine. “And you know that there are going to be some pretty explosive encounters between Rick and the Governor. This season is going to be about getting to know these two characters, and then waiting for their eventual confrontation that could destroy everything.”

The Walking Dead returns for its 16-episode third season on Oct. 14.

That is a very large knife.

  • Adfa

    That’s what she said!

  • Bill Sodeman

Merle does not like happy at all.

Take note Rick is holding his gun in his left hand. That is all I will say.

I read an interview in which Kirkman said he regretted that decision.

    Michonne looks great!

I thought he said he regretted it because it made the art more difficult, Adlard had to keep re-drawing scenes where the wrong hand was gone, or no hand was gone at all.

Whoa, David Morrissey looks like Norm MacDonald.

  • Highsounds

I can’t believe that the google search ‘David Morrissey Norm Macdonald’ only returned this one comment. I think the similarity is mind-blowing. Glad that someone is with me though ;)

I have a thing for doppelgangers. I envision a movie where Lance Henrikson and Kirstey Alley get replaced by those actors that look like them.
