New Avengers Blu-ray Clip Focuses On Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo

While some of The Avengers Blu-ray extras that found their way online this week have been leaks — Disney worked quickly to take down the gag reel, for instance — we can be confident this latest video is official, as it premiered on the Marvel website.

Part of a larger behind-the-scenes featurette, the new clip focuses on Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo, who receive high praise from Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige, director Joss Whedon and their co-stars. “With Mark Ruffalo, I have someone who I would be happy to do every scene with for the rest of my life,” Robert Downey Jr. says.

Arriving Sept. 25, the four-disc Blu-ray combo pack retails for $49.99; the two-disc Blu-ray combo back is $39.99. The one-disc DVD is $29.99. The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as the Incredible Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Clark Gregg as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson, Cobie Smulders as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Maria Hill and Stellan Skarsgård as Dr. Selvig.

    EVERY scene, Robert?

    Jude Law just went apoplectic.

Damn, I was interested in that but the video was frozen in areas, even as the audio continued. I thought it was on my end, but it kept happening at the same points, in the same ways, after “rewinding.”

I can hardly wait until Avengers is released for home viewing.  I want it on DVD, Blu-ray, and iTunes.  I’ll pass on Ultraviolet.  Yeesh.
