Why The Russos Are The Best Thing to Happen to the MCU Since Joss Whedon
Lost alum Jorge Garcia has landed a guest role on Once Upon a Time, the hit ABC fairy-tale drama that kicks off its second season next month.
TVLine reports the actor, who played Hurley on all six seasons, has been cast as a giant, making him the second island survivor to appear on the series (Emilie de Ravin, who has a regular role as Belle, was the first). At the moment he’s booked for just one episode.
Created by former Lost writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, Once Upon a Time centers on Emma Swan (played by Jennifer Morrison), a 28-year-old orphan who’s found by the son she gave up 10 years earlier and brought to Storybrooke, Maine, a town populated by fairy-tale characters trapped in our world, forgetting who they really are, because of the Evil Queen’s curse. In the season finale, the spell was broken, creating a new status quo for when the series returns.
Garcia most recently starred on Fox’s Alcatraz, the short-lived sci-fi thriller co-created by former Lost writer Elizabeth Sarnoff and produced by J.J. Abrams.
The second season of Once Upon a Time premieres Sept. 30 on ABC.
