Leaked Ninja Turtles Script ‘Tired, Old News,’ Michael Bay Insists

Michael Bay wants Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans to know one thing: The widely panned script for the Ninja Turtles reboot that made the rounds earlier this month was a very early version. Several websites got their hands on the script, which depicted the Turtles as actually coming from Dimension X and being part of a prophecy. However, Bay wrote a quick post on his website clarifying that the draft was scrapped early in this process:

The leaked script for Ninja Turtles that different sites continue to comment on was written well before I, or anyone at Platinum Dunes, was involved with the project.

That script saw the shredder a long time ago.

This is tired, old news — Wait for the movie!

At this point, the question is how long fans will actually have to actually wait. The release of the film, which initially received criticism for dropping “Teenage” and “Mutant” from the title and for making the heroes aliens rather than mutants, has been pushed from 2013 to 2014.

Michael Bay went on to add “In the newer drafts, we’ve managed to not only get rid of the ‘Teenage’ and ‘Mutant’, but we’ve done away with the pesky ‘Ninja’ and ‘Turtle’ aspects as well. They were becoming a hindrance to my awsome script. The new film will have three things; Aircraft Carriers, American Flags, and Barely Legal Teen Ass!–Hey, look! I got Teenage back into the film! Love me, fanboys! Love. Me.”

He then went back to snorting coke off a 15 year old’s ass.

Man he knows how to live!

    …. yeah … coke …….

  • careyt

I’m down with the “Barely Legal Teen Ass” part, but sadly that can’t save a Michael Bay movie.

  • Mike

LMAO!!! You guys will watch the movie, that’s the punchline! I know I will. Have fun with your bashing!

  • Richard Casey

Wait? Yeah, I’ll wait. For this film to be a total train wreck that no one sees, killing the franchise and leaving it wide open for someone who actually knows what the fuck they’re doing to make a movie that’s true to the characters. IDW’s current TMNT run is FANTASTIC, that kind of thing I’d love to see on the big screen. It does play around with the mythology of the half shelled heroes, but in a way that feels true to the source material.

I wont, got burned by too many Transformer movies

“That script saw the shredder a long time ago.”
I see what he did there.

Michael Bay Sanduskied my inner child.

Mike, your name is awful close to “Michael.”  I think we all know who you are.
