Vaughan & Chiang's "Paper Girls" Builds a Familiar Yet Disconcerting World
Apple has debuted the first trailer for Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, director Tommy Wirkola’s re-imagining of the classic fairy tale that picks up 15 years after the harrowing experience at the gingerbread house, with the title characters (played by Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton) now ruthless bounty hunters.
Originally scheduled to open in March 2012, the film’s release was moved to Jan. 11, 2013 for a handful of reasons, not the least of which was a desire by MGM and Paramount Pictures to benefit from Renner’s higher profile due to The Avengers and The Bourne Legacy.
