"Justice League": Exploring How Superman Returns (Again)
Comic Books, Film
What did people writing about movies do before Twitter? The social-media device is a great source of celebrities either talking off the cuff or revealing information that fans might not otherwise get. Recently, brother writer-and-directing duo Peter and Bobby Farrelly took to Twitter to talk about the upcoming sequel to their breakout 1994 hit Dumb and Dumber.
The Brothers Farrelly revealed they’re not only almost done with the script, but also that their sequel — officially called Dumb and Dumber To — will have nothing to do with the 2003 prequel Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd. They also referred specifically to Jim Carrey appearing in the film, which is interesting because, as of June, the actor had exited the project after a perceived lack of interest from Warner Bros. and New Line.
In August, Bobby Farrelly talked to Digital Spy about the film’s plot saying, “The story revolves around the fact that one of them may have sired a child. They want to go and find the child because he’s having a kidney problem and he wants to ask him for one of his kidneys.” He also noted that Harold and Lloyd have not matured whatsoever in the almost 20 years between films. He also said they hope the film starts shooting soon so it can premiere next fall.
