Lionsgate Says New "Power Rangers" Film Could Lead To Multiple Sequels
The next comic book adaptation won’t be on the big screen, but rather on television, as Cartoon Network transforms the Image Comics/Shadowline graphic novel Dear Dracula into an animated Halloween special.
Created by Joshua Williamson and Vicente “Vinny” Navarrete, the kids’ comic stars a young boy named Sam who loves horror movies and vampires. While all the other kids write letters to Santa Claus at Christmas, Sam writes to Dracula only to find that the caped lurker actually shows up to turn him into a vampire.
Ray Liotta stars as Dracula in the adaptation along with Nathan Gamble (Dolphin Tale) as Sam, Ariel Winters as Emma (Modern Family), Emilio Estevez as Renfield and Marion Ross (Happy Days) as Grandma.
Dear Dracula premieres on Cartoon Network Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. ET/PT.
