Why The Russos Are The Best Thing to Happen to the MCU Since Joss Whedon
AMC has debuted a new minute-long trailer for the third season of The Walking Dead that reveals scenes of the survivors’ fight to secure the Prison and Andrea’s life in Woodbury — but also a tantalizing clue that the hit drama is taking a leap forward in time.
When we last saw Rick & Co., they had fled the Greene farm and were camped out in the woods, seemingly within a few miles of the West Georgia Correctional Facility. But in this new trailer, Lori’s pregnancy is clearly much further along than it was in the Season 2 finale — she holds her stomach as she runs with the others along the perimeter of the prison yard — suggesting it’s taken the group at least a few months to get there. Likewise, it looks like Andrea and Michonne wandered the countryside for a while before they were discovered in the season premiere by The Governor’s people.
Debuting Sunday, Oct. 14, the 16-episode third season of The Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, Sarah Wayne Callies as Lori Grimes, Laurie Holden as Andrea, Chandler Riggs as Carl Grimes, Steve Yeun as Glenn, Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon, Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier, IronE Singleton as T-Dog Douglas, Lauren Cohan as Maggie Greene, Emily Kinney as Beth Greene, Scott Wilson as Hershel Greene, David Morrissey as The Governor, Danai Gurira as Michonne and Michael Rooker as Merle Dixon.
