Wil Wheaton and LeVar Burton Beam Up to Big Bang Theory

Want a Star Trek: The Next Generation reunion? CBS’s The Big Bang Theory will make it so Nov. 8. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the hit sitcom that revolves around the lives and loves of a group of scientists will feature a pair of TNG alums on an upcoming episode.

Both Wil Wheaton and LeVar Burton have appeared on the series in previous episodes, with Wheaton becoming a fairly big part of the story over the past few seasons. The actors, ho played Wesley Crusher and Geordi La Forge respectively, will appear on a Star Trek-themed episode of Sheldon’s video podcast Fun With Flags. This will be a big step in the Sheldon/Wheaton relationship which had a rocky start, but got patched up last season as Sheldon’s animosity moved to Data himself, Brent Spiner.

The episode of Big Bang Theory premieres Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

I hate the Big Bang Theory. Even if it wasn’t the same formulaic pablum we’ve been spoon-fed for the past five decades, it’s still nerd blackface

  • Wcburns

Could you not call it Blackface? If you think it mocks nerds or portrays them poorly, that’s fine, but calling it Blackface makes you look like a tool

This show took a real nose dive last season with the writing. This season is no different. It’s gotten so bad they’ve even added a fake laugh track. “Hi Sheldon.” HAHAHAHA “Leonard.” HAHAHAHA. I had to turn it off.

I think I got tired of the show. Maybe it’s just me, but after while it’s ‘O.K., I’ve got it.’ You always see them buying comic books, yet you never see what would likely be a big stack of comic book boxes on their walls or in their closets. I must have about 15 full of them.

You’re nuts dave, it’s very unique and creative. I wonder what wil wheaton thinks of portraying himself on the show
