REVIEW: Violent, Profane "Deadpool" Shouldn't Work, But Really F---ing Does
The image Wadlow posted today to his Twitter account is of a model of
Red Mist The Motherfucker’s lair, replete with his shark tank and everything. As Wadlow says, it could be “the world’s smallest set.”
Fans of the Kick-Ass 2 comic will know that there is a pretty big showdown that goes on at this location at the end of the story. We’re sure the lair will look a lot more intimidating when it’s in its completed form, so for now we’re just excited to see the finished product.
The Motherfucker does some pretty terrible things leading up to this final showdown, and tensions will be high when Kick-Ass finally comes to give The Motherfucker what’s coming to him. During a recent interview, leading man Aaron Johnson explained how the violence in the comic book form of Kick-Ass 2 will translate to the big screen.
“The comic actually touches on some kind of disturbing things. Anything like that it’s not,” Johnson said. “You’re not gonna see that and that’s for the better, I think. That character development and that journey is all there and it’s really great. I think it’s interesting.”
Kick-Ass 2 picks up months after the 2010 action comedy, as Kick-Ass forms alliances with other local heroes and joins Justice Forever, which discovers the Red Mist — rechristened “Motherfucker” — is gathering his own group of villains.
Kick-Ass 2 stars returning cast members Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Mintz-Plasse and Yancy Butler, along with new additions Jim Carrey, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison, Claudia Lee, Lindy Booth, Andy Nyman, Morris Chestnut and Robert Emms. The film opens June 28, 2013.
