Axel-In-Charge: "Secret Wars" Jam Session Talking "A-Force," "Ultimate End" and More
NBC has a big decision ahead of it: kill or keep Mockingbird Lane. Reports started leaking out earlier this month that the Munsters reboot might be on the way to an early grave, but creator Bryan Fuller hopped on Twitter saying that wasn’t the case. According to The Hollywood Reporter, however, the network is seriously looking at its options.
Fuller has been developing the series for years, weathering a regime change at NBC and recruiting Bryan Singer to direct a pilot starring Jerry O’Connell, Portia de Rossi and Eddie Izzard. However, executives reportedly didn’t like what they saw and weren’t happy with the reported $10 million spent on the episode. With Fuller busy on his other series Hannibal, he’s not available to come in and make immediate.
As it stands, the network has essentially three options: push forward and rework the series; release the pilot as a Halloween special; or write and shoot more scenes to expand the episode and air it as a TV movie.
