Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty Premieres Tense Second Trailer

Apple.com has premiered the second trailer for Zero Dark Thirty, the controversial action thriller from The Hurt Locker director Kathryn Bigelow chronicling the decade-long search for Osama bin Laden.

Formerly referred to as Kill Bin Laden, the movie has been at the center of a political firestorm in which opponents accuse the Obama administration of giving the filmmakers access to classified material. Bigelow has denied any favoritism.

Written by Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker), Zero Dark Thirty stars Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Joel Edgerton, Mark Strong, Jennifer Ehle, Kyle Chandler and Edgar Ramirez. It opens Dec. 19.
