Ayer Reveals Jared Leto's Tattooed "Suicide Squad" Joker
After delaying its release by nine months, Warner Bros. has now decided change the title of Bryan Singer’s 3D fantasy epic Jack the Giant Killer to something a little more … family-friendly. What’s more, the studio is shuffling the film’s opening again, this time from March 22, 2013 to March 1.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie is now called Jack the Giant Slayer, as “slayer” is apparently less harsh-sounding than “killer” for the PG-13 release.
The retelling of the classic fairy tale stars Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: First Class) as a young farmhand who reignites an ancient war when he unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and that of a fearsome race of giants. The cast also includes Stanley Tucci, Ian McShane, Bill Nighy, Eleanor Tomlinson and Ewan McGregor.
