First Footage of Brad Pitt in World War Z Shambles to Life

After an incredibly troubled production, Paramount Pictures is finally showing off footage of World War Z by way of Entertainment Tonight. Based on the 2006 novel by Max Brooks, the film takes a global look at the zombie apocalypse. Brad Pitt championed the adaptation and got Quantum of Solace direct Marc Forster the gig.

As you’ve probably gleaned from the clip, it’s more of a preview of a full trailer that will premiere on Thursday, but you can see the hordes of zombies swarming after Pitt and company. Still a ways off from release, World War Z will not be in theaters until June 21, 2013, so we’ll have to wait til then to see if the Damon Lindelof rewrite and extra weeks of shooting paid off.

Not sure how I feel about the clip. Looks potentially cool, but also looks like it could be over CG’ed. The concept of 1,000’s of zombies swarming over each other is enticing, but it’s happening so fast that it looks like it may feel too computery.

Guess we’ll have a better idea come the full trailer.

    Over CG’d definitely.
