Tom Brevoort Talks "Civil War II," the New Marvel NOW! and DC's "Rebirth"
The LEGO movie continues to impress with the all-star lineup signing up for its voice cast. We already knew that Chris Pratt, Morgan Freeman, Elizabeth Banks and Will Arnett were involved, but The Hollywood Reporter now adds to the impressive list Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson, Nick Offerman and Alison Brie.
Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, 21 Jump Street) and co-written by Dan and Kevin Hageman, the film follows Pratt’s everyman LEGO character named Emmet, who gets mistaken for a kind of chosen one who everyone thinks can save the mash-up LEGO world.
Ferrell’s set to voice President Business, “a CEO who has a hard time balancing world domination and managing his own life.” Meanwhile, Neeson’s a hatchet man named Bad Cop, Offerman a pirate and Brie a secret-keeping member of Emmet’s crew. The film was recently moved up from its original Feb. 28 opening to Feb. 7.
