INTERVIEW: Spencer Declassifies "Captain America: Steve Rogers'" Hydra Secrets, Cosmic Connections
Jerry Bruckheimer is teaming with Scott Derrickson, the writer/director of The Exorcism of Emily Rose and Sinister, for the long-brewing paranormal police thriller Beware the Night. Variety reports Eric Bana is in talks to star.
Beware the Night is an autobiography written by Ralph Sarchie, a New York City police officer who investigated supernatural and paranormal events during his off time. Co-written by Lisa Collier Cool, the book was optioned years ago and given to Derrickson and his writing partner Paul Harris Boardma for the first draft. It’s been handled by a series of other writers since then, but Bruckheimer Films intends to get Derrickson to take another pass before diving into directing duties.
While no release date has been set, the film is expected to come out in 2013.
