Arrow Images Reveal Huntress in Costume (and in Action)

Making up for a lackluster set of photos last week from the Huntress’ debut on Arrow, The CW has released another round, this time featuring actress Jennifer De Gouw in costume, in action and, from the looks of it, in trouble. While Huntress, aka Helena Bertinelli, makes her debut in Wednesday’s episode as the daughter of a mob boss determined to dismantle her father’s criminal empire, these photos are from next week’s episode, “Vendetta.” So, if you don’t want the story spoiled, you may want to stop reading.

As Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Helena (guest star Jessica DeGouw) grow closer, Oliver trains her to be his ally, complete with showing her how to use a crossbow. Diggle (David Ramsey) disapproves of Oliver sharing his secret with Helena as he’s not sure she can be trusted, but Oliver refuses to listen to his concerns. Helena’s quest for revenge proves to be too strong for Oliver to handle after she kills the head of the Triad and all hell breaks loose.

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

Huntress without Batman just seems… off.

No chance of her being from Earth 2 or any other crap like that, right? They wouldn’t say the mobster is her father and then reveal she’s really Batman’s daughter, I hope… they’re probably trying to distance themselves from the failure of Birds of Prey. I’m still hesistant given that Johns wrote this.

Loved the fact that they incorporated Huntress’ classic purple hue… but I wish they did something with her hair. Looks like a bad case of hat-hair. :p

Anyway, looks promising. I don’t mind the liberties they took with the comic book characters, it is it’s own “Earth” anyway (just like the Smallville series was). Can’t wait to really see what they do with her character (perhaps a recurring character of sorts?).
