First Look at DC Rebirth Designs For Bizarro, Red Robin, Batman Beyond & More
There’s only one week to go until Killing Them Softly hits theaters, and the Weinstein Company is putting in one final push to remind everyone of why they need to see this crime film. The Brad Pitt mobster movie has looked great from the get-go, but this new trailer has some additional footage that makes it seem a bit more fun than we might have initially thought.
Ray Liotta looks like he’s living up his role in this film, while Pitt feels at home as a mob hitman. Then there’s Richard Jenkins, who charmed us earlier this year in Cabin in the Woods and looks like he’ll do so yet again this time around. Judging by Killing Them Softly‘s 92 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, this movie will likely be as good as you hope it will be.
We also finally have a new line to replace Pitt’s “I like to kill them softly” quote as the best in the trailer. “I’m living in America,” he tells Jenkins’ character. “America is not a country, it’s a business.”
Based on the 1974 novel by George V. Higgins, the film follows professional enforcer Jackie Cogan (Pitt), who’s hired to find two crooks who robbed high-stakes poker game protected by the mob. You can watch the trailer below. Opening Nov. 30, Killing Them Softly also stars James Gandolfini, Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, Sam Shephard, Bella Heathcote and Garrett Dillahunt.
