PREVIEWS: "Civil War II," "Punisher" & More Marvel Comics on Sale June 1, 2016
At long last, there’s honest-to-goodness photographic evidence that the fourth season of Community actually exists! The proof fans of the beleaguered NBC comedy have long sought arrive in the form of stills from the Feb. 7 season premiere.
Titled “History 101,” the episode picks up with the Greendale study group returning from summer break — hey, it would’ve been more seasonal had it aired in October as originally scheduled — and Jeff (Joel McHale) focusing on completing those final few credits he needs to graduate. But when there’s a mix-up with a history class registration, Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) institutes an elaborate physical competition for class space. Meanwhile, Britta (Gillian Jacobs) helps Abed (Danny Pudi) deal with his anxiety over the thought of the study group breaking up.
The shortened season not only follows the firing of creator and showrunner Dan Harmon, but is also marked by the departure of Chevy Chase, who will in all but one or two of the 13 episodes.
Community returns Thursday, Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
