Disney hopes to recapture some of that Pirates of the Caribbean magic with The Lone Ranger, which reunites franchise star Johnny Depp with director Gore Verbinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer to retell the story of the masked man who fights for justice with the help of his Native American companion Tonto. Despite delays, budget cuts and a prolonged shooting schedule, the Western has finally come together, with Social Network actor Armie Hammer in the title role.
After the release of some images and a teaser in October, all has been quiet on the Old West front. But now, thanks to iTunes, there’s now a full-length trailer. As you can see below, it focuses mainly on the origins of the Lone Ranger.You also get a better sense of Depp’s unique take on Tonto.
The Lone Ranger also stars Helena Bonham Carter, William Fichtner, Tom Wilkinson, Ruth Wilson and James Badge Dale. The film opens on July 3, 2013.
