Guillermo Del Toro Partners With
Fox Animation For Book of Life

Guillermo del Toro has so many projects on his plate that he can make news twice in one day. In the wake of the first trailer for his robots-versus-monsters epic Pacific Rim, The Hollywood Reporter has word that the del Toro-produced animated feature Book of Life has found a partner in Fox Animation.
Announced in February as Day of the Dead, the Reel FX project is directed by Jorge R. Gutierrez from a script he wrote with his El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera partner Doug Langdale. It’s described as an action-packed Romeo and Juliet-style love story set against the backdrop of the Mexican Day of the Dead.
Fox Animation has set an Oct. 10, 2014 release date.
