Director Michael Bay has refuted widely circulated details about Transformers 4 purportedly based on a leaked 120-page script for the Paramount Pictures film, saying, “we are only up to page 70 in our T4 script.”
The report, which originated on Unleash the Fanboy, contended that Unicron will be the primary antagonist of the 2014 sequel, which introduces several new Autobots, including the ancient Vector Prime,”the guardian of Primus, the one being in the universe that can defeat the planet-eating Transformer.”
That may sound terrible or terrific, depending upon your perspective. However, Bay took to his website this morning to say that wherever that information came from, it wasn’t from the Transformers 4 script.
“Some Internet sites this morning reported that some document recovery guy has found a legitimate 120 page script of Transformers 4,” he wrote. “I can absolutely 100 percent say this is completely false. The only two people in the world that have our unfinished script are Kruger and myself. Also we are only up to page 70 in our T4 script. Maybe this guy has a cartoon or something else – but definitely not our movie!”
Transformers 4, which stars Mark Wahlberg, arrives June 27, 2014
