Arrow Promo Debuts First Look At Firefly in Midseason Premiere

The CW has released a promo for the midseason return of Arrow that offers the first look at the breakout drama’s take on the classic DC Comics villain Firefly. The teaser also reveals that Starling City’s masked vigilante (star Stephen Amell) has been out of sight for six weeks, presumably recuperating from his injuries at the hands of the Dark Archer in the midseason finale.

In the episode, appropriately titled “Burned,” Oliver meets Garfield (SGU Stargate Universe‘s Andrew Dunbar), a firefighter who was badly burned three years ago after his chief left him behind. The ordeal transforms him into a bitter, vengeful man, leading his wife and kids to abandon him.

The comic-book version of Firefly is Garfield Lynns, a pyrotechnics expert who turns to crime and constructs a special suit, complete with flamethrower and grenade launchers, to help in his new career as a professional arsonist. He’s later horribly burned in an explosion at a chemical factory.

Arrow returns with new episodes Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

     That’s not a design, that’s a backstory.

I didn’t even know the show had ended for the year.
I’m more interested in seeing Roy Harper.

Why do they keep stealing Batman characters?

  • Hachiman

They keep stealing batman characters because Green Arrow has no villains worth a damn.

I don’t understand why this show seems so popular. Here in the UK it’s a total laughing stock, the O.C trying to do Nolan’s Batman.

Tonally it’s a laughing stock, all over the place, the acting is utterly poor, the writing is full of holes and its heritage from Smallville is clear in the tired trope “villain of the week” structure.

I thought the Dark Archer epiosde was the best one yet, and altough they haven’t quite worked out the kinks, they are a few potential big bads for the season i’m looking forward to ( Dark Archer, his best friend, Deathstroke, Count Vertigo e.t.c)

Also, is Deadshot not supposed to be dead? I assume he’ll be back, becuase of Diggle’s brother pbeing killed by him

    What about Clock King?

Why not put him in a episode or two if they done so already?

  • Rod G

“if they HAVEN’T done so already?”

No one care about the U.K.

The show is good, and a majority of people agree.
    I guess the UK sucks.
