Vaughan & Chiang's "Paper Girls" Builds a Familiar Yet Disconcerting World
Were you unclear on the premise behind Warm Bodies, the film written and directed by Jonathan Levine (The Wackness, 50/50)? Well, if the trailer from a few months back didn’t answer your question, then the first four minutes of the movie, presented by Summit Entertainment, should help clear things up.
Nicholas Hoult (X-Men:First Class) stars as R, one of many zombies in some kind of post-zombie apocalypse world. He spends his days shambling around airports and having deep, grunty conversations with his pal M (Rob Corddry). What you don’t see in this clip is that he eventually meets and falls for a young lady named Julie played by Teresa Palmer (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, I Am Number Four) after eating her boyfriend’s brain.
Based on the Isaac Marion book of the same name, Warm Bodies also stars Dave Franco and John Malkovich. The adaptation is scheduled to debut Feb. 1.
