Arsonists don’t always make the best choices. Take Firefly, for example: He decided that running around with a canister of highly flammable material on his back was a good idea in a town whose main vigilante who fires projectiles at his opponents. It sounds like an explosive combination, but that’s most likely what the folks at The CW’s Arrow were aiming for with the first episode of 2013, titled “Burned.”
As we saw in a trailer last month, the new episode picks up six weeks after the midseason finale, which saw Stephen Amell’s hooded vigilante beaten down by the Dark Archer. Back in action, the Hood (as he’s known in Starling City) finds himself squaring off against a man named Garfield, a fireman-turned-firebug with a mad-on for his former fire chief. Garfield is played by SGU Stargate Universe alum Andrew Dunbar.
Arrow returns on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
