Vaughan & Chiang's "Paper Girls" Builds a Familiar Yet Disconcerting World
The Governor might be sporting a bandage in the new poster for The Walking Dead, but don’t expect for him to be without his signature eye patch for too long. Robert Kirkman teases that fans will see that accessory join the cast of AMC’s hit zombie drama pretty early on during the back half of Season 3.
“My money is on that eye patch coming in, and coming in pretty soon,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “I’d be on the lookout for that.”
The tagline on the new poster is “an eye for an eye,” which teases that The Governor is now going to be coming after Rick and the survivors at the Prison. We already got a taste of that conflict in the promo for the second half of Season 3. Of course, it’s worth noting that Michonne stabs The Governor in the eye, not Rick, but somehow we doubt that he’s forgotten that fact in his vengeful journey to the Prison.
Officially picked up for a fourth season, The Walking Dead returns Sunday, Feb. 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC.
