X-Men-Based "Legion" Ordered to Series on FX
TV, Comic Books
Following the release last week of an Iron Man 3 character poster showcasing Don Cheadle’s James Rhodes in Iron Patriot armor, Marvel has turned the spotlight on Guy Pearce as Aldrich Killian.
An ultra-tanned, David Caruso-esque Killian is one of the people responsible for developing the Extremis serum, which creates the super-soldiers that Iron Man is forced to fight against in the upcoming movie. Killian doesn’t look too terrifying here, but he will likely a force to be reckoned with when teamed with Ben Kingsley’s The Mandarin.
Marvel debuted the new poster and promised more to come in the months leading up to Iron Man 3‘s release. Here’s the movie’s official synopsis:
Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
Directed by Shane Black, Iron Man 3 also stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Jon Favreau, Rebecca Hall, James Badge Dale and Ashley Hamilton. It opens May 3.
