Vaughan & Chiang's "Paper Girls" Builds a Familiar Yet Disconcerting World
The first tease for the final episode arc of Breaking Bad has arrived, and although it doesn’t reveal much about the season plot-wise, it does show that the cast has had a lot of fun making it.
“This is the end, my friend,” Bryan Cranston, better known as Walter White, says of the upcoming storyline. “It’s a roller-coaster ride to hell. … Twists and turns, lots of cliffhangers; you’re not going to want to miss these last few episodes.”
The featurette teases a “wild” scene between Aaron Paul’s Jesse and Bob Odenkirk’s Saul Goodman that Odenkirk says fans will “love.” Cranston then takes fans to the set of the White house — but not the White House. Chief among the teases in the above video is the showdown between Walt and Dean Norris’ Hank. “We all hate him,” Norris and Paul say.
Back in January, series creator Vince Gilligan opened up about the end of Breaking Bad. “We’re not gonna please everyone, we’re not gonna please everyone. … This is what I keep telling myself so I can sleep at night,” he said. “It’s going to be polarizing no matter how you slice it, but you don’t want 10 percent to say it was great and 90 percent to say it sucked ass. You want those numbers to be reversed.”
Breaking Bad returns during the summer at 10 p.m. ET/PT on AMC.
