UPDATE: "The Flash" Hasn't Cast Savitar, Says Berlanti
TV, Comic Books
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb has posted an intriguing new behind-the-scenes photo from the upcoming film that should tickle the fancy of comics fans. It turns out Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane will play a role in the Amazing Spider-Man sequel, and now we have our first look at the set.
More specifically, we have a peek at the listing for the rooms on the third level of Ravencroft. It seems like a certain electrically charged movie villain (cough Electro cough) could spend some quality time in this institute, as S310D houses the Voltage Cells. Interestingly enough, it’s also Medical Inspection Lock-Up, so we’ll let you read into that what you’d like.
Beyond that, there are interrogation rooms, emergency medical labs, weapon pick-up rooms and even a communications pavilion. Just like at Oscorp, it seems likely that there is more going on at Ravencroft in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 than initially meets the eye. It’s unclear exactly how it will fit into the movie’s plot, as all Webb said when he tweeted the picture was, “Day 30. Ravencroft.”
Opening May 4, 2014, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield, Shailene Woodley, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Colm Feore, Sally Field, Martin Sheen, Chris Cooper and Felicity Jones. Here’s the film’s plot synopsis:
In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
