Vaughan & Chiang's "Paper Girls" Builds a Familiar Yet Disconcerting World
We’ve seen Edgar Wright’s fabled Ant-Man test reel, which debuted in July at Comic-Con International, recreated in a fan-made video. But now, at long last, we can watch the actual footage, captured this week at a screening in London.
Although the video was obviously shot with a cellphone, it’s surprisingly in focus and absent of the shakiness that typically accompanies such covert efforts. In other words, you can pretty clearly make out the action and special effects.
Victoria Alonso, Marvel’s executive vice president of visual effects, teased in September that the studio might one day release the reel — presumably as a DVD extra — so until then, this may have to do.
Ant-Man, which Wright teased last month is “part of the Marvel cinematic universe, but it also feels like its own piece,” opens Nov. 6, 2015.
